Dr. Elizabeth Targ was the daughter of Dr. Russell Targ, one of the two scientists who brought Uri Geller to the attention of the world. A respected researcher and psychiatry professor at the California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, she was funded by the National Institutes of Health on a project to look into the possible role of a mind-body-spirit connection involved in medical healing. Dr. Targ died last week of glioblastoma, a rare brain tumor, while conducting a 5-year-old study into the efficacy of prayer on patients with the same rare cancer. She was 41.

Amazon are behaving in a stupid manner, you are not allowed to use swear words in reviews of books that have the fucking swear word in the motherfucking title!!!!! Just as annoying as the stores that sell ammunition but won’t let you carry inside them.:)

http://www.fee.org/vnews.php?nid=5089 Baa baa!!!! Seemingly I’m having a cognative dissonance. Now it’s unAmerican to hold values consistent with the bill of rights as viewed from the demeanour of most Airline security people. Then again I would suggest that most people in that position haven’t read much in the way of civics and probably think Honda sponsored the bill of rights to begin with. I’m getting rather depressed nearly all the people I talk to have made assumptions that freedom is what they do and that anything above and beyond that is excessive. You know if you have no freedom of movement, thought in most campus environments or the ability to decide what medications you want to take what do you have?
Sadly it’s still about the freest country out there. how fucking depressing it that?

Following up on the Robbins quote from last night have another…
Disbelief in magic can force a poor soul into believing in government and business.

“Love is the ultimate outlaw. It just won’t adhere to any rules. The
most any of us can do is to sign on as its accomplice. Instead of
vowing to honor and obey, maybe we should swear to aid and
abet. That would mean that security is out of the question. The
words “make” and “stay” become inappropriate. My love for you
has no strings attached. I love you for free.”
Tom Robbins.
