Guardian Unlimited Politics | Special Reports | Brown: Remembrance Sunday should become ‘British Day’

“The union flag should be a British symbol of unity around our values … and we should assert that the union flag is for tolerance and inclusion. Gordon Brown”

Tolerance?  Er didn’t the kick the shit out of the Scots to enforce that fucking flag on us?  Inclusion , ah yes,   give up your customs, dress and land and you can live with us, otherwise .. you die. These people turn my stomach.

Let’s see what quotes I can find on patriotism that would be beffiting a day just like America..

“In the United States, doing good has come to be, like patriotism, a favorite device of persons with something to sell.” I can’t see what the brits have to be proud of a depressing socialist nightmare where cradle to the grave assistance keeps you poor enough to never truly gain independence from the state, then when the state turns around and says… er about that pension thing, you know retire at 65 and you wont starve , freeze or be denied timely medication .. well we looked at the numbers and funniest thing, appears we lied.. toodle pip.

You only have to look at the “promise” of the old Soviet union and the poverty that is, and this is hilarious, often seen as a failure of a free market which seems strange given that 70 years of “real world’ communism failed to produce the ability to support oneselves in absence of the system. Communism is theoritical in a manner that the free market isn’t as it ignores or suppresses human desires and relies on this party loving drone for neatness. The free market assumes people trade based on what they believe the benefit to themselves is which is , scary, someone might not buy what ‘we think they need and’.. and so what?
