Lone Star Times » March of tyranny continues in New Braunfels

Oh you have to love this story. It’s going to be one example I refer to regarding the insanity of the state. Tonight’s “rotten borough”  a town council in Texas has a problem with littering and alchohol from people “toobin” down the river. SO  despite public intoxication and littering being illegal they craft legislation to ban containers under 5oz.

From the town site,  I schiesse you not ..

a little bit of old Germany smack dab in the middle of the Texas Hill Country.”

Way to  bring about that old German spirit to the America ..  So now we have container control and a law that’s so worthy or ridicule that  it was passed even when  an enterprising person showed up with a , fully automatic baby killing sub machine manufactured 6Oz container which  last time I looked contained more material and is larger when thrown away  ( that would be the littering part )
“In a state where corruption abounds, laws must be very numerous.” Tacitus

Darwin Reconsidered

4. Why Evolution is a Threat to the Powers that Be

Evolution is survival threatening to the Powers that Be (PTB’s) for the simple reason that it is a general proof that civilizations held together by force and compulsion are doomed to fail because they suppress intelligent choice for citizens. Choice is the survival mechanism of intelligent creatures, such as mankind. Evolution proves that the survival methods (restricting choice) used by the PTB’s are a threat to civilization in general. Citizens must be prevented from realizing the importance of freedom and choice, otherwise they will demand to wield their own power. People will seize their own destiny and tolerate no restrictions on their freedoms, under any pretext.

I would also accept cocking a snook at authority as a title. In relation to many theists slime actually seems quite personable.

Not a terrorist cell-phone after all. ( No puns possible)

CNN.com – FBI: No terror threat to Michigan bridge – Aug 14, 2006

The release also said the FBI had no information indicating that the men, Palestinian-Americans living in Texas, had any direct links to any known terrorist groups or to the alleged plot to bomb trans-Atlantic jetliners that was announced in London last week.

Well it looks like my scepticism was vindicated  seriously if you look vaguely arabic , I have to admit many Americans are as good at telling ethnicity as they are at finding countries on a globe,  I’d be wary about setting up a lemonade stand.  Sadly Tracfone have no amusing slogans which can be applied to this latest episode. I’m Cingularly upset by the MSM’s failure to correct the story with the same enthusiasm they had in announcing it.

Now.. Let’s look at those London plots…  remember remember…

Save us Uncle Sam so what if you like to feel us up for our own protection

The Boys Who Cried “Terrorist”, by L. Neil Smith

The second thing is to vote for no incumbent ever again. Never forget that these are the specimens who—without even reading it—shoved the Patriot Act down our throats and elevated creatures like Chertoff and Gonzales far above their proper station in life, which is picking up cans, bottles, candy wrappers, and used condoms along the highway.

And here’s my problem. People  actually want their restrictions. The article that paragraph is from deals with the credibility gap that the state has in providing a tolerable version of the truth. If you wander onto CNN , FOX or other forums you will find that more people are willing to be prodded, have the belongings open for inspection , since they are forbidden to lock them up,and fully uncompensated from actions of the JBT’s at the TSA that result in their loss. A common fixture of all 2nd and 3rd world nations is the corruption and bribery that occurs around their ports of entry I think the US is just trying to make UN diplomats seem more at home.  I’ve no idea what excuse  the American born have for their complicity in their own degradation other than those big screen tv’s must be realy fucking distracting.

This is Budweiser, this is hypocritical bullshit. Clooney’s “ego” friendly commericials

Agenda Inc. Live Feed – A-list stars cash in on their voices

My theory is that the only commited enviromentalists, those that actually walk the walk, and not drive the hybrid drive to ceremonies, do so because in most cases they can’t afford to harm the earth in any meaningful manner. For those that have been dulled by mercury in fish, lead in paint and particulates from trucks I’ll explain, and I’ll use very small words.. you wart hog face baboons ( I’m recycling a movie I’m doing my bit) I.e They are poor.

So there’s an irony that will be bypassed by most people re hybrids that presently they are less efficient over their lifespan than the conventional alternatives , there’s no killing of the electric car, if you want one, travel less than 150 miles a day you can get one. Getting a way to carry a family of 5 around is another matter.

Anyway here was I calling shennanigans on Mr Clooney for yet voicing a commericial that advocates keeping a separate refrigerator, obviously and old and inefficient by current standards on, just to keep beer close at hand it seems contrary to any form of practical environmentalism I’m aware of.

CNN.com – Three face terror charges after 1,000 cell phones seized – Aug 13, 2006

Capitalism or subversion only your Government can tell the difference.Er make that tell you the difference. Obviously not all the facts are available but that’s never stopped the prosecutor or local officials from having a press conference. So are these people just gaming the system by buying mobile phones in location a to sell in location b after stripping the charger to sell separately or is it more likely they’re funding a terrorist empire in one of most inefficient manners I’ve yet to hear. Maybe one should keep a transaction log of ALL business you do just in case it looks suspicious , and DUH, encrypt it. It may save your ass a long time in jail:)
Hey least they are not buying plasma tv’s and “killing the planet”

Addendum: I’m rather frustrated by their  “cellphones can be used as a detonator” So can PDA’s, alarm clocks, a myriad of home made circuits  and pagers, wifi networks ,laptops  and hell if you really want to a fricking watch:.

With their mentality we should be screening all women for testicular cancer.

Better we just end Western civ now before we offend anyone?

Classically Liberal: British police arrest children for playing

I’m rather glad I left that godforsaken island, ok I made a frying pan move but I’ll admit the bread here is tastier and the circus perfromers are that much more attractive. Still when I was around sixteen the police came out to prevent us from using water pistols on the grounds that people may mistake dayglo yellow super soakers for real guns. The also stopped me for carrying an offensive weapon which was a 5 D cell maglite, it was dark, and er.. it was useful to see my way home electric light is not as pervasive in the middle of the woods.

Amazing they had the time to catch the alledged plotters of the latest outrage while engaged in such a disproportionate response which seems to to have no end in sight.

Well a choice has been made.:) thanks to my wonderful “wife” whose splitting the camera with me for my birthday.

Stay tuned for Dobh’s adventures as a child actor ( please not we do not intend to provoke emotions  just to get a laugh on video)  However my evil side needs excercising so I will be polishing the wooden floors , setting up a laser pointer, and then  showing the world how to play cat bowling:)

Peroxide and the “blondes” like oh my gawd they’d like totally try to blow up planes.

israelinsider: Briefs: Israeli invention detects TATP explosives

Questions:

Has security post 9-11 taken a “blonde” moment? Seems like the same style plot in the mid 90′s, with the same  style materials would possibly warrant a change in screening practices?
Why would people that have to check their items that have been deemed “safe” enough to go in the hold?

Why would people that are on the secure side be prevented from taking on bottles of water  they bought from stores within the “secure” section?

Why do I have a link to a test for the alledged material and this link for a commercially available variant ?

Lots of questions, as is my want, but does it not seem odd that this method has been attempted previously  yet the screening has been , least the talking heads on the idiot box claim, impossible  resulting in the total ban of all but medicine and baby formula for the time being.   I bet they ban Snakes on a plane too.

Well it looks the plan to prevent the infidel from watching their blasphemous videos, seeing women with more than 3% of skin showing on a printed medium or by the drinking of unholy water is working well

Phoenix radio host Charles Goyette has often quipped that the phrase “they hate us for our freedom” has been taken to heart by the currrent administration. Remove freedom then they will no longer  hate us.. We may not even hate ourselves in the long run.

A wonderful day  full of surprises.  An evening full of more.   I’d love to  go into both in detail but they are both situations that’s worthy of the phrase “gobsmacked”

There’s an useful method electricians, or any sane person ,use when possible ,when  working on a live circuit you take the breaker or fuse with you.It stops someone coming by and slapping it in and attaching a lethal charge.

Trying to find a suitable camcorder to document the little un. After an abortive attempt to buy an ENG camera, is not going so well. There’s a trade off that I am unwilling to make which is  I have to have manual focus, manual exposure and an external mic input.  What’s interesting is that 10 year have elapsed since HI8 was the consumer shit ( I still like SVHS myself ) roughtly around 400lines of resolution,  dv is meant to have about 510 yet most  of the cheap cameras bottom out around .. 400 , interesting. Since a small size is not my idea of fun in a camera I’m just wondering if I can forgo the DV convenience and  buy a convertor  , which one can always charge people for the joy of using.. Digital conversion is still not as big a business as it should be…

Do you have a licence and registration for that car park software sir?

Wired News: Giant Robot Imprisons Parked Cars

Wonderful story of a dispute between a local authority whose acriminous dispute with a software co had them escort the staff of the latter of the premises with their  neat brand of force ( often called police). Couple of days later the software that ran the car park expired along with any practical way to retrieve the cars.. :)

“I can see certainly some legislative solution … (situations where) I need to hack into software on my own computer to make it work,” he says. Especially in cases of vital infrastructure, like hospitals and power utilities, an overly restrictive license might not hold up in court.

Yeah that’s nice a local authority gets into a position where it makes what sounds like an incredibly stupid deal and rather than question those that contracted  for. Yep this was written as a  piece “oh my lord the software doesn’t work after the licence has expired…”

I’d love to see the same state take such an attitude with my car registration, I mean the car doesn’t need one to operate, it’s not convenient for me to pay them, but oh wait I forgot I don’t have a contract, just a gun to my head should I try operating a car, while not an illegal, without the “King’s” permission.
