Twas some nights before Christmas

 Dreich,

It’s dull, rain and cold here in Phoenix tonight. It’s about as Christmassy as Bambi’s mother experiencing a lead abortion.  The myth of Christmas is amusing to me that it resisted  translation to the local regions  that are bereft of the physical, seasonal and cultural backdrop for this to make any sense.  But.. I get another  day with my fluffy little child  whose going to  have fun  ripping up some paper.

My online friend “The Mary”  refers to this time  as PGD  or Present Getting Day,

Oh   Shit  I forgot how good Jean Michel Jarre is, I forgot nearly all my UK tapes and records so ….  kerching..  I’m not all bleep bleep thump though  and tonight replaced my Black Sabbath greatest hits tape with the shiny disc.

I learned today that  the Hal part of me that was buzzing was not only correct, but so correct that the magnitude of it was stunning in pointing out  how Sisyphus is alive and well and the payroll gods are having an amusing time …

Some hope from the UK, sadly they replaced man in the sky with the man in Whitehall for their god but this is encouraging..

More people in Britain think religion causes harm than believe it does good, according to a Guardian/ICM poll published today. It shows that an overwhelming majority see religion as a cause of division and tension – greatly outnumbering the smaller majority who also believe that it can be a force for good.

Ha,  follow the God that failed

Classically Liberal: Some really sick people run the schools and write the laws.

Carol Mowen, drooled out a statement: “It’s important to understand a child may not realize that what he or she is doing may be considered sexual harassment, but if it fits under the definition, then it is, under the state’s guidelines.” Mowen called this blot on the child’s record a “learning opportunity.” Mowen is a moron, no I’m wrong. She’s a MORON. An evil moron who shouldn’t be allowed near children.

Ah so let’s make it clear  reposting allegations isn’t illegal, damn.  Ok  Her behaviour is Moronic,  but evil? :)   Let’s take a look.  Looking back on my childhood I would indeed be a  wobber, a wapist and wapscallion if d’unts ( dull cunts , I’m trying to popularise this)  like these were in charge.. Oh they were , damn I knew it was a living hell for 4 years.   Anyway  YOU STUPID BITCH  five year olds  don’t drive , vote or even cross the street on their own for the reason that  even a developmentally challenged, emotionally retarded authoritatian bint should be able to explain is that they are incapable  of the judgement to do so and rely on adults to protect and guide them rather than stigmatise and traumatise them.

So yeah  you may not be evil  but I have a feeling if you met satan you wouldn’t need a translator.

Tolerance.. why is it a one way street?

Some “unfairness” that bother me tonight.

When someone says have a blessed day, asking ” by whom?” is considered problematic.

How come deferring to other people in their presumed expertise for their title a good thing  when the reciprocation is insultingly absent?   There’s NO chance I may have a possibility of possessing a slightest clue  and you know, it’s getting easy to believe it.  I’m  not smart   , certainly not as I used to be, yet  being able to state the obvious is a “skill”  thats only good in hindsight.   E.g 3-4 weeks later it changes,  sometimes two years  elapse but the obvious eventually appears.

Drawback is …

This doesn’t do me that much good, and sadly the skill doesn’t apply to stocks or I wouldn’t have these problems.   So the info is right, the messenger or the presentation of the message is therefore to blame?   My fear is that the latter are inseparable.

Cue Aimee Mann…”it’s not safe”

Feeling a little compressed.

Word of the day. Praexology:

In short  people’s discussed actions  are meaningless until they have been enacted.   Mine especially have been discussed to where it’s disgust on an ever increasing basis.  The formula that I can live with is so far out off balance  where  HAL is really  kicking in and I have no idea what to Tse to change it.

Tis the season.

While Harris believes she heard God’s voice, it took a series of rational decisions to take her children from Oakland to the pier, undress the boys — one of whom struggled with her — hoist them over the railing and drop them into the water, Allen said.

Taking Sam Harris’ argument  ( pretty much guaranteed no relation) AGAIN.  It’s everyone that keeps a man alive in the sky that gives NUTS, ok the ones nuts and unstable , the  framework to carryout their heinous acts.    I wish the punishment could be  Hey here’s absolute proof there is no afterlife, you murdering bitch  you stupid ignorant murdering cunt.  I hope she lives long enough for reason to catch up with her.

On a side note why can people claim “god”  as insanity when convenient but have to swear on a fucking bible as some kind of test on their sincerity…

Listen to “Running the world”

This is from the lead singer/ writer  of the band Pulp which sadly most Americans have never heard .. sad people. This man has the perfect delivery in relation to the topic:

Myspace, I found my ex has a  profile ( thanks to someone for suggesting  NOT!)  which amused me greatly

The rest of the day..  I got to do something nice for others and  My boss did something nice for me.   Apart from that .. Blah!!!

My little flapping head “Ike”  had to recalled once more from daycare, the day part is at least correct, for going rashy/ spotty over much of the body.  It looks very much like a reaction to, not necessarily allergic,  the amoxycillin. Dobh’s fine with it, I’m not that happy though  I’ve never taken so much time off on an ad hoc basis since day care was involved it’s a shocking piss poor compromise that you either have to be

earn over 100k on one income

Be poor enough to have morons like me pay for your daycare ( thanks Janet)

If you are in the middle ground you end up needing to nearly  double your salary to get back in real terms what you can  get from the “state” for free, oh and pay no taxes doing it.

Rant coming.. ANGRY    for once though I can  bring up my child, someone other than myself , see I’m not a self centered capitalist  I also wuv my family That  nearly 50% of my salary goes to paying for food, for daycare, for medical care  for just about every other need we have to provide for our kid  is supplied gratis to others  by the state holding a gun to our heads and “inviting” us to pay.  It’s a shite state of affairs Tommy and all the fucking Red Rock in the world ain’t going to change it”

While I am in a pissed off mood   this time.. at myself. I once passed my radio ham test, I must have known how to explain waves and propogation and various other bits of info that would make my current project easier.  Today  I realised that  “just so” is useless as a way to pass info and that not understanding the why  is pointless even if you know the how.. :)   I feel an expensive educational solution coming on:)

Failing that I will continue to wallow in my ignorance.

Still in Kermit mode..  Feeling like hell, and living in it.  I still miss my hair:(

Today’s news wasn’t

More walled garden activity from the cellphone crowd with Cingular announcing a myspace plan for $2.99 a month , oh and you’ll need a dataplan and there’s charges for transfer  and it’s just so needlessly pointless I wish they wouldn’t bother. Exclusive use of the mobile API. Mm wonder for how long?  Really  this is seen as a big deal and  I may just be ignorant enough to be missing things but  what I’ve seen of Myspace ( too much :)    doesn’t seem to lead well to  compacting it down  into , into ,  well I’d love to try it but it’s only on one network.. Jesus stop selling  social to me  as a club.  YouTube on the phone didn’t excite me either.    Heck please design me  something useful that you want a phone to do!!!

Reading list

The Missionary Position:Mother Teresa in theory and practice.

I’ve long been on the   MT bashing side and have seen the supporting documentary and countless Hitchens articles on this “Saintly” shrew  that loved the poor, as long as they stayed poor  and when possible dead. The book outlines  a case for her villification over beatification  given her position to assist those that she refused to,  cuddled up to political types that would make Kissinger blush  and on the whole took in an ark load of money to assist the poor but then was stuck with the usual charitable dilemma.  My contempt for the Albanian bitch  knows no bounds.  It’s a short read but ultimately the lack of an ultimate authority to send her to the hell she’d deserve  is frustrating.

Funny how the  Democratic hope “O Bomb A” has started to catch some flack for being , er  rather too much like the “Washington war party”   Sadly morning shows like to point out he has  charisma and  and and  oh fuck we’re done.  No really we’re done if that’s all it takes to be electable is that “he speaks nicely”   I worry about the USA cos I get the underlying feeling they want to say “.. for a black man”    Otherwise why point out he can speak…  it’s setting the bar too low. Can he Think!

Got Fucked?

Ah this is a great story about just how hypocritical our Senators in AZ are. Further proof ( like more is needed) that the USA is NOT a free market and it’s actually into price controls when it suits those  in power. The short version. One guy found a way to sell his milk, legally, cheaper  which didn’t go down well with the competitors so they brought vast sums of money to bear to force him to do so.

Hettinga’s operation was “damaging to the marketplace,” explains Elvin Hollon of the Dairy Farmers of America. “So the regulations had to change.”

Republican Sen. Jon Kyl of Arizona, who has received thousands of dollars in campaign contributions from Hettinga’s competitors, went to work ginning up a bill that would require Hettinga to pay all the “extra” money he saved by operating outside the federal pool, right back into the “pool” that regulated his main Arizona competitor, Shamrock Foods Co. – removing any incentive or ability for him to sell his milk at a lower price.

Hard to get angry about this? Then you’re a moron

In bed late, kid at grandparents and I’m still mopingly ill. Losing voice, croaking and getting out of breath.  Lovely  time.   Radio Shack seem to have been closing down a lot of stores of late and .. well  I think I know why.  They only stock as “web only ” the last few items that I wanted from them.   Here’s the thing Radio Shack’s prices are not that great, they are however  good at getting you out of trouble by stocking a lot of leads, connectors  and electronics  that you’re not going to get at your average.. well anywhere.     I go online , oops part is available everywhere cheaper the ONLY thing Radio Shack can do for me is put it in my hand TODAY  which at least for me was their one  true calling.  Now, now it’s selling tacky add ons for cell phones and RC crap.

Scary :  Met one of those bible believing people that believed simultaneously that the  bible is truth, that the harder parts to reconcile with reality  are in fact stories for god to help mankind and that their replication in earlier cultures  was the same god trying to get the same message across with a different ghost writer.

Homosexuality is a sin, so says the bible , but he’s not sure he wants to agree with that which means he’s one ballsy guy to question a god he really believes in .   I’ve come to this conclusion.

God really does love male homosexuals ..   It may sound like hell to us but a life of  hot objects been stuck up the ass may be in fact the benevolence of a kind loving god: )   Ok sorry to relegate a group to one act but hey.. I’m on your side here  and I’m trying to  work with the all loving creator of the universe.

It really just deteriorated from there   NO LOGIC ZONE.. another scary person  that thinks that god is the only reason he doesn’t rape , rob or murder.  Scary  he’s saying in public ”NOTHING” prevents me from killing you ..

Prop 107 in AZ was one of those attempts to make an already illegal situation, same sex marriage, illegal.  Sadly it was not defeated by a large enough amount of votes because  when it comes down to it most people are totally weirded out by it:)  Anyway a nice bunch of AZ “trots”   ( I wonder when the kids will learn that ” Commies aren’t cool” and  stop claiming that the lumpen masses have a special connection with humanity other than just being “more” of it.

Historically it was the wealthier groups in society that were supportive of gay rights and the poorer groups that opposed them. Individuals deemed working class are more likely to want to bash a gay person than embrace them.

In short the stupider and more religious you are, redundant? the less likely you are to have voted for people to have their natural rights

Also take a look at the UK’s idea of paying women not to be whores,, er sex workers. :)   And this gem from the  “moron of the week“  a school official that’s banned  four girls for dressing alike. This is the same system that lets cheerleaders wander around in their rather similar garb. Now if the school had the balls to have EVERYONE  turn up with  the same coloured shirt/ trousers I wonder what could happen, probably tasering  :)

The media tried to find out from Principal Moron why the girls were suspended. He said it was because they violated school rules. Of course the follow up question regarded what rule they supposedly broke. That was a question Principal Moron refused to answer.

Ad hominem left in for free.

Well that’s another fine mess you got me into Delilah

 Randomness.

Seems like  a massive  tech gift this year is  one of the USB turntables.  Direct conversion of your old LP’s into something a little more digital, portable and less prone to kids using em for frisbees.  Three of them  are now sold out at most of the large E-tailers and even the semi pro sound gear  with  new delivery looking like 2007.  Didn’t stop some retailers  from  taking orders, giving dates and then canceling them..  Nice Amazon.. nice.    I love Amazon, sadly not at Christmas :)

Still have no hair.

We’re now in a snowglobe ,Erin and myself, or at least a photograph of us is.   If you ever want to know what we look like with terminal dandruff drop by and give us a shake.

I think I want my car to turn faster, stop quicker and not creak when hitting speed bumps.

The rest of life is a feeling of unnamable dread

I told you the school systems were taking the piss. Early lessons in control.

SALISBURY — A Salisbury Middle School policy that called for students to be escorted on bathroom breaks resulted in three students being forced to answer nature’s call via a soda bottle.

Excessive requests for bathroom breaks throughout the day have prompted faculty members to be more skeptical, requiring some students to be escorted.

The piss police have expanded their reach from the   war on some drugs:)  Ok isolated case but this is why I don’t want our son  placed in the hands of this state employed morons.  The comments by the morons that employ them is even more telling.
