A lib “otter” ian view from Phoenix,Arizona

ah I give thanks that there will be Indian food tomorrow , or soon thereafter.

Ah another Thanksgiving were once again the question from the natives here of how other countries celebrate it arose. The bemusement that follows the idea that the whole world doesn’t revolve around the American myth of thanksgiving is kinda touching for a bunch of people that have better degrees than mine.

You know what,  we don’t celebrate President’s day either. Shocking eh?  ( No, I am not a Canadian)

The radio news , tv news and print news are full of state agencies using your money to tell you how to cook, how to drive, how to pack and how to put up with all kinds of intrusive behavior so you can  have “fun”

Ok, I have to ask. Indian red dot or Indian feather? Cause Indian (feather) would be a remembrance of this country’s native peoples and the loving care they extended toward the white settlers. Helping them through the cold and bleak winter. Teaching them how to grow local crops for survival. Before killing most of them and forcing the few remaining onto unsustainable lands in the southwest.

Ah the cultural sensitivity:D We’re talking corner shop not casino. The latter’s cuisine is just awful and that’s saying something given my UK origin. The myths bug me greatly there really seems a need to prove “we’re free” rather than just being so. It’s a shame we had to break up their killing each other by showing them how it’s really done. ( what a great species we turned out to be )
