Once you think black, as in votes, you can’t go back to treating people as individuals. Cnn Again.

Updated: added link to apology.

It’s been a week since I saw an apology on CNN’s site with regards to their hinting at the black women would be conflicted in the Democratic primary because.

  • Obama is black
  • Hillary is a woman

Yep to the mainstream media outward physical appearance is your sole basis for picking the person you believe will steal from you less.

Or more realistically steals in the manner you would do so yourself if you had the balls to do it without hiding within the mob. ( called taxation people )

Anyway let’s see how sincere CNN were with their apology. Look at today’s headline story.

Sen. Barack Obama is facing a crucial test of support within the
Democratic Party, as polls opened Saturday in a race in which more than
half the voters are expected to be African-American.

And yeah so what? Is democracy really that bankrupt? Are black women so homogenized that gender and race define their thought process ? Yes on the former and no on the latter. The only people suffering from groupthink seems to be MSM outlets that are getting away with magical thinking in lieu of reporting.

E.g

I bet those guys think that the weather maps they show actually creates the weather.

Where do you live? No offense, but i think it is true. Most of the voters in the south will pick based on race if given the choice. I wish we lived in la la land were everyone had a brain. But i promise, as a resident of Alabama, that the black and white people will, for the most part, side with their race down here. It isn’t like the north and west coast, the black people here hold much resentment and hate for white people here. Racism is very much alive on both sides down here.

Obama is making a fool of himself.
He is the one who is putting race in this thing, and he is acting like it is Hillary’s fault.
    What a jerk he is.
I thought we were past this sort of thing as a nation.
It seems that Obama is not.
    I want to move forward.
    So does this country.
    Vote for Hillary Clinton.
    I am,

    George Vreeland Hill

Do you really believe what you wrote in here? What racism at display in S.C!! 80% black men vote for the black candidate, 80% black women vote for the black candidate. You you seriously want us to believe its because Obama is actually that popular? Huh? If popularity was the criterion, Edwards, born in S.C would have won. Why? Because Romney won in Michigan, because Bush won in Texas, because McCain is leading in Arizona, and because Obama WILL win in Illinios.

Black voters have shown their true colors. Oh and yeah, I am black.

Now just go ahead and admit you were wrong.

    @touchet. I’m In Phoenix Arizona.

@kapil. I wasn’t commenting on the candidates at all but main stream media ,in this case specifically CNN, seems unable to handle subtlety and reverts to identity politics whenever a candidate veers from the norm.

My error may be in clarity but not in intent. CNN are the only target here. I’ll go back and edit the post to make it clearer.

Its very interesting to watch a candidate whose message is allegedly about change, unity, and hope that has spent so much time incongruent with himself all week long by focusing on direct attacks of his opponents, spreading negativity (fear, uncertainty, doubt…just like the republicans do), mud slinging, and yet still wins South Carolina. Amazing at the double standard here…he gets a pass and the other candidates don’t. He complains about others misrepresnting the truth but provides no actual specifics….and the media doesn’t ask for specifics or follow up on his inability to take resonsibility for his actions/behavior. This guy is like teflon and is starting to look more like George W. If you like the current president the you will love Obama!

I’m an intelligent, educated white woman happily married for 26 yrs and a proud grandma. Geesh I had to write that I was WHITE into my intro. I’m a proud American. My flag will stand there till all my troops come home. Both my hubby and I served. Yet we vote for Obama. Why? cuz he’s change and America needs change. He’s not soiled by Washington politics, He’s not power hungry. He’s just himself, highly educated and sees a vision. And we agree.

I agree with Terry. Just looking at the S.C. primary. CNN and the entire media will give Obama the pass whereas other candidates are represented unfairly by them. Judging by the S.C. primary results I have to say voters picked based on race. Despite what some commentators and the Democratic leaders there have tried to spin it it,i.e., “the voters voted for Obama due to pride” it is still voting based on race and it is racism. I, for one will no longer vote for Obama.

Sen. Obama falsely stated after winning S. Carolina, “this election is not about race”. You sir are totally wrong! The second House Majority Whip, Congressman Clyburn demanded Bill Clinton “Chill”, You instantly became “The Black Candidate” & lost my vote.

When the former Chair of the Congressional “Black Caucus”, (a strict color based racially orientated organization), & lifetime member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, (an organization for ethnic minorities) believes YOU CAN NOT fight your own battles & injects his influence as a black rights advocate, you became “The Black Candidate” who needs “Color, Race & Cries of Racism” interjected to help influence voters. It was a very calculated & sad attempt to play the race card using you as the pawn. You should have stepped forward & publicly told Congressman Clyburn you can fight your own battles. But You chose to ride the “Racial Wave” instead. In doing so, Jackson & Sharpton politics are reborn & you lost my vote for becoming part of the past! Politics Of Hope My A**!

Racism in this country has taken a 180 degree turn over the last couple of decades. It is absolutely the black populace that are the real racists. Blacks don’t just vote black, they vote anti-white and in my experience in the inner city over the last 30 years or so, I have come to believe that black people raise their children to hate white people.
