Don’t get me wrong there has to be consequences for carrying a loaded firearm into a nightclub that is discharged. Like a hole in the leg, pain and maybe the end of your athletic career. Still that’s not good enough we really have to show em:) Shame that the same zeal doesn’t apply to those that enforce the laws
Hospital suspends worker who failed to report NFL star’s gunshot – CNN.com
Bloomberg, who has long fought against illegal gun ownership, said public figures “make their living because of their visibility. They are the role models for our kids, and if we don’t prosecute them, to the fullest extent of the law, I don’t know who on Earth we would. It makes a sham, a mockery of the law.”
One word answer…..

Unfortunately, I’m not very surprised that a hospital worker would abuse their legal obligation to report such an injury. If it were a law enforcement official, I would be very disappointed. However, this hospital worker, to me, seems to be just another person who has a legal obligation to do the right thing and chose not to. Very disheartening, but all too common. (As a former 911 calltaker, I guess you could say I don’t have much faith in people doing to right thing)
Indeed I didn’t get why anyone would “forget” to do that especially in the ER role that responsibility was something they agreed upon when they got the job. Well it looks like from the link you have found a less stressful pursuit. Hawaii and photography I feel a bout of envy coming on:)
