Kid’s are not good for ones productivity. For the last 2 months Dobh has been up around 0500 and despite attempts to regulate the bed time it’s just not working out. E.g Get home near six, food, kid bedtime and we’re at 2000 and that leaves 2 hours to fit the rest into. There’s respite on the occasions he stays overnight at the grandparent’s about 2 times a month that leaves… Yep hell.

90 mins of that is useless commuting time ( ok it’s entertainment since I have audio books but.. ) it’s still for the most part a waste of energy. Hey aren’t we fighting a war to secure such energy? Sorry forgot that’s impolite we’re doing it for the children.

I received a letter from Phoenix telling me that I would be receiving a letter.

The letter came from the people that run the recycling and solid waste , aka trashmen to tell me that the day the bins are emptied is changing and to look out for more details.

Did they get their public communications degree by watching the evening news? Next up the killer ingredient in your home.. After the break, sports, another break for the same story and a denouement which is three lines long. An unamed study says watching tv news makes you a gullible idiot..

That being said I’d like to annoy the camp that have taken the “arms merchant repents ” meme and failed to realize that at a fundamental level nothing changes. Seemingly they haven’t, like the RIAA, got a clue that making something available for , oh let’s call it evil, does not obligate a human to carry out that evil.

Been a tired few weeks.   Resentment of the "is what it is"  crowd  has been diverted to more constructive pursuits,  napping.

   I’ve had this before ,  played this scene before,  and the manner that two societies deal with a condition, that on the surface seems contrary to their myths about how to behave, is worryingly the same.  

Organizations  are formed to achieve a goal which is quickly superceded   by the need to keep on being an organization over and above  the need to  carry out the reason they were formed.

I sold the GPZ1100 tonight. This was one of the bikes from my semi youth that I wanted to own , ok I REALLY wanted a ZZR1100 which was the Hayabusa of its day and is still faster 0-60 than a Scot asked to pay for dinner. Odd sale too. The new owner hasn’t ridden in a long while and I tried lightly suggesting that this is not the ideal bike to reacquaint yourself with cycling in dense traffic like Phoenix. So I hope he really took the info to heart about the training and waiting to get legal prior to taking it out since it was a pretty nice bike prior to sale. Hell the only reason I am passing it along is garage space and the small issue of having another amazing bike to ride:)

Other news? At last I joined the iPod crowd with… an old micro:) Audio books are back in my life without having to rip them from Audible to play on my own system( Hopefully Amazon solve that BS soon I would like to listen to what I paid for on my own choice of hardware, not theirs. First up is “Altered Carbon” which is sci fi and is so far rather good. I have this interest in how prevailing morality , hah!, will be affected when death can be sidestepped , identity tied to a body is fleeting and we stop relying on idiots to keep us safe.

One of the ways I “sell” podcasts and blogs to people is by telling them that no matter how esoteric their interests are that there is likely to be a blog , forum and podcast about it. Yep even the people with embarrassing conditions have groups. ( no they are not the same as churches but a good guess my cynical reader;) )

Seriously my reivers diet of flesh , blood and offal when combined with inactivity has not only caught up with me it’s taken an early lead. That is going to stop. Oh that an my ancestors. Bastards that’s why we never invite you around to dinner ( Oops riffing off DNA there)

If I relied on the hand outs , about gout, without a doubt I’d be a more depressed otter. As it is, and as it seems to be with most conditions, the cause and effect has been established by the women in white coats, a reduction of Xtra beef causes less whY does this hurt? Sadly it’s mostly the widest bromides with information that is taken from the most extreme cases and then generalized into rules for everyone. E.g Low sodium. for those that need it great, sadly that means “everyone” since the medical people don’t want to send wrong messages. e.g hey ethnic group a : you are more at risk from this but to make you feel better we’ll tell everyone to do the same. Same with gout.

Now I have to work out what’s true for me.

My ex wife used to teach in CA  but they waived her need for a certificate since they were so short of qualified teachers. The same situation I believe exists today but there’s a fun ruling that  if upheld  could practically prevent parents from teaching their kids in the manner they see fitting.

Ah today is a rare sick day.   My throat is scratchier than a $5  microphone and  I’m as congested as a Tokyo commuter train.  That being said there are positive benefits.

KLF being one of them.  Maybe it’s worrying that  I consider people that burned  a million pounds , not dollars,”real”  money  back in the day to be less of a problem than the near 2 million they paid in taxes.

I really need a course in miracles. 

It’s a miracle that anybody that brings up “the secret”  is allowed  to escape the law of attraction of my sarcasm to their naivete .  Oops I know I just upset a couple of people I know but consider this an intervention.

They are in the wrong place because of their own lousy thinking. Cancer patients have long been victims of this school of belief. But The Secret takes it to a new and more repulsive level with its advice not just to blame people for their illness, but to shun them, lest you start being infected by their bummer thoughts, too.

Which in my case means  trying to reason people out of their insanity   and if they persist no longer interacting with them  whenever avoidable ( e.g  anywhere outside the workplace)    If the secret works  wouldn’t my desire for them to STFU  have some effect?

Even with the express knowledge, and public acknowledgment that they are aware, that we expressly forbid them to use our yard as their market place we are littered once again withing a short period of them , or someone purporting to be the company , left on the blog.
